Iran launched three missile salvos in rapid succession, targeting southern Israel and central areas, striking a sensitive industrial site in the Naqab (Negev) and triggering fears of a chemical incident.

Key Developments

  • Three Iranian missile salvos launched within 30 minutes.
  • Strike hits chemical facility in Bir Al-Saba (Beersheba) industrial zone.
  • Israeli authorities warn of possible chemical leak.

Missile Barrages Strike Naqab, Tel Aviv and Dimona

Iran launched three missile salvos in less than half an hour, targeting Dimona, Beersheba, and areas in Greater Tel Aviv, according to Israeli media reports.

Israel’s Channel 12 reported that “Iran bombed an important factory in the Negev region,” after a missile struck an industrial site in Beersheba.

Israeli radio later confirmed that the targeted site was a chemical plant containing hazardous materials, while subsequent reports indicated that authorities imposed a security cordon around the facility and began evacuating nearby residents as a precautionary measure.

Israeli ambulance services reported at least one injury resulting from the strike, though details on the extent of damage remain unclear.

Meanwhile, Israeli firefighting teams were deployed to control fires that broke out at the site following the direct hit.

At the same time, sirens were activated across wide areas, including Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Dimona, and Beersheba, as Israeli authorities confirmed the detection of multiple missile launches from Iran.

Chemical Leak Fears

Israeli authorities warned of the potential consequences of the strike, with the Home Front Command stating that a “serious attack on a factory in the Negev” could result in a chemical leak.

Israeli media described the situation as “serious,” acknowledging that “the facility targeted by the Iranian missiles in the Negev is sensitive.”

The Israeli Civil Defense called on residents to avoid the area and adhere strictly to safety instructions, while the Ministry of Environmental Protection dispatched specialized teams to assess damage and contain any hazardous materials.

The strike comes in retaliation for recent Israeli attacks, which targeted key industrial and production facilities inside Iran, including steel plants and other sensitive sites.
