An increasing number of Israelis are leaving the country, with 145,900 more leaving than returning since 2020, according to a special Knesset report cited in an Israeli media report.
The data shows a “sharp rise” in emigration after Israel began its genocidal assault on Gaza in October 2023, with the government having “no plan to stop the worrying trend,” the Ynet news report stated.

Between 2020 and 2024, some 145,900 Israelis left the country than returned, the report prepared by the Knesset’s Research and Information Center (RIC) indicated, ahead of Monday’s session of the Knesset Committee for Immigration, Absorption and Diaspora Affairs.
The report “showed that in 2020, Israelis left for extended periods, followed by 43,400 in 2021; by contrast, 32,500 and 23,600 returned in those years, respectively,” Ynet reported.
‘Real Strategic Threat’
The following years, 2022-2023, saw “a sharp jump in long‑term departures”, with 59,400 Israelis leaving in 2022, “representing a 44 % increase” over the previous year. In 2023, a total of 82,800 Israelis left, up 39 percent from 2022. This was followed by “a marked increase” of Israelis leaving in October 2023 after the Israel’s attack on Gaza began.
“The rise in departures remained steady in 2024, as between January and August 2024, roughly 50,000 Israelis left,” a rate similar to 2023, the report stated.

Figures have Doubled
Meanwhile, the number of Israelis returning after extended stays abroad decreased, with “24,200 in 2023 versus 29,600 in 2022; and between January and August 2024, only 12,100 returned versus 15,600 in the same months of 2023.”
The report stated that in all recent years “the number of returning Israelis has been smaller than the number of leaving.”

In 2023, the gap “nearly doubled to 58,600 Israelis; in 2024 (to August) it fell to 36,900 Israelis.”
The report noted that the Israeli government has “no structured plan” to curb the emigration of Israelis or “encourage the return” of those who have left.
In the period of the Jewish new year between last year and this year, a total of 79,000 Israelis “migrated abroad”, according to Central Bureau of Statistics data, with the majority of those leaving in the age category of 30 – 49.
The data indicated that “28,915 were 30‑49; 22,183 were 0‑19; 16,095 were 20‑29; 15,581 were 50+ years.”

Whether it’s the number of IOF casualties, or the number of “Israelis” who’ve moved out of occupied Palestine, the genocidal “Israeli government” will always grossly reduce what the real numbers are.
Shortly before “Israel” launched its war against Iran (which ended up being a very terrible disaster for the “Israelis”), according to many credible sources, one million “Israelis” had already moved out of occupied Palestine, between October of 2023, and the spring of 2025. The question now, is how many more “Israelis” have moved out since last June, after Iran’s missile attacks inflicted such enormous damage upon “Israel”?

The former U.S. Army Colonel Wilkerson, who speaks in many interviews (almost every day, which you can find on youtube), puts the figure at 1.5 million, between October of 2023, and now. Prior to that, before “Israel” launched its war against Iran, I had read in numerous articles that the figure was one million.
