Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Friday that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s “terrorism” continues to threaten both regional and global peace.
“The Iranian-centered attacks launched on Feb. 28 as a result of Netanyahu’s provocations have further deepened the instability in our region,” Erdogan said in a speech reported by Anadolu.
He pointed to multiple ongoing conflicts, including the war in Ukraine, but stressed that Israel’s actions remain central to the region’s escalating crisis.
Erdogan described what he called a “Zionist genocide network,” accusing Israel of blocking humanitarian aid to Gaza, killing civilians, destroying infrastructure, and acting “like bandits” in its ongoing war on Palestinians.

Erdogan said Israel has used the regional escalation as a pretext to intensify its policies in occupied Palestine.
He stated that Israel had closed Al-Aqsa Mosque to worshippers, calling it “our first qibla,” and accused it of accelerating illegal settlement expansion in the West Bank and other occupied territories.
