Israeli occupation forces reportedly raided some towns across the West Bank, detaining young men and severely beating them.
At least two Israelis were injured in a car-ramming operation near the Al-Khader Junction between Jerusalem and Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank on Tuesday. The suspect was shot dead by Israeli occupation soldiers, according to Al Jazeera Arabic.
The army closed all main and secondary entrances to Bethlehem Governorate, including the Al-Khader Junction, the Nashash, the eastern entrances to the town of Al-Khader, the western entrances to the city of Beit Jala, the entrances to the town of Tuqu’, and other entrances following the attack, the official Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed Muhammad Awad Diriya, 32, from Beit Fajjar, south of Bethlehem, was shot dead by Israeli forces, the report stated.
The Times of Israel reported that one of the injured was in a serious condition, and that an off-duty reservist officer killed the assailant.
According to Al-Jazeera Arabic, the Palestinian Resistance movement Hamas said in a statement that the attack “confirms the message of our resistant people who will never remain silent in the face of the occupation’s escalating crimes, including genocide in Gaza and killing, arrest, displacement, and home demolitions in the West Bank.”
“As we mourn the perpetrator of the operation who was martyred, we affirm that his pure blood will pave the way for freedom, from which we will not deviate,” it added.

On Sunday, an Israeli soldier was killed after being hit in a car-ramming attack at the Jit Junction in the northern West Bank. The soldier died of his wounds, according to the Times of Israel.
Madama Raided
Elsewhere in the West Bank on Tuesday, Israeli occupation forces continued to raid the village of Madama, south of Nablus, for 13 hours, WAFA reported.
The head of the village council, Abdullah Ziada, told WAFA that the army stormed the village at around 8pm on Monday, transformed three residential buildings into military barracks, and forced five families living there to evacuate for 24 hours.
The soldiers also forced shop owners to close their doors and set up three military checkpoints at the entrances to the village, preventing entry and exit.
Ziada noted that large numbers of occupation forces are deployed throughout the village’s neighborhoods, setting up checkpoints inside, searching residents, and preventing them from leaving their homes, the report stated.
Jenin Town Raided
Israeli occupation forces also stormed the town of Anin, west of Jenin, at dawn on Tuesday, WAFA reported.
The soldiers raided and ransacked several homes before detaining a number of young men in the town’s streets, severely beating them.
Elsewhere, Israeli occupation forces detained the principal of Al-Mughayyir Boys’ School at the entrance to the village, northeast of Ramallah, WAFA reported.
The principal, Bassam Abu Assaf, was detained “and abused” at a checkpoint they set up near the western entrance to the village, the report stated.
Settler Attacks
Illegal Israeli settlers attacked Khirbet Tana, east of Beit Furik, east of Nablus, at dawn on Tuesday, WAFA reported.
Thaer Hanani, head of the Tana Land Defense Committee, said that a group of settlers stormed the village and detained 12 young residents in the Beit Sheikh Mosque, the report stated.
They opened fire before an Israeli army vehicle arrived and began shooting at and severely beating the young men, seizing their phones and wallets, it added.
Later, four settler-owned vehicles stormed the site, carrying a group of teenagers who assaulted the young men. They were detained for more than four hours before they were released, the report stated.

Ibrahimi Mosque Closed
The Israeli authorities closed the Ibrahimi Mosque in the city of Hebron (al-Khalil) to Muslim worshippers on Tuesday until Thursday evening, WAFA reported.
The closure will continue for three days, starting today, under the pretext of Jewish holidays, the report stated.
The Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs condemned the decision, stressing that these practices constitute a flagrant violation of freedom of worship and a systematic targeting of the Ibrahimi Mosque, it added.
The authority also warned of the danger of the escalating Israeli measures against the Mosque, which range from repeatedly preventing the call to prayer, restricting the entry of worshippers through electronic gates, conducting searches, and obstructing the work of the mosque’s staff, preventing them from performing their duties, the report stated.
