I find it absolutely amazing that no one, not in all the years since 1948, has ever succeeded in addressing the termination of a conflict steeped in so much ferocity and bitterness.
Even the vast numbers of lives lost in its duration and the huge annual expenditures required to sustain it in being cannot persuade its combatants to stay their hand nor seek out alternatives to that which has been the norm for generations.
So, either the matter will admit of no solution or the solution itself is so well hidden that only a really significant amount of lateral thinking can ever hope to bring it into the light.
