Palestinian Boy Killed by Israeli Convoy near Hebron
A 16-year-old Palestinian boy, identified as Muhammad Majdi al-Ja’bari, was killed on Tuesday after being run over by an Israeli security vehicle near Beit Einun, north of Hebron, in the occupied West Bank, according to QNN.
Initial reports indicated that the vehicle was part of a convoy linked to Israeli officials heading toward occupied Jerusalem, with widespread claims pointing to a convoy associated with extremist minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.
Ben-Gvir’s office quickly denied any connection, claiming that the vehicle involved did not belong to his convoy and that he was not present at the scene.
The office claimed the boy crossed the road at a red light and that the driver attempted to avoid the collision, adding that a security guard was injured and taken to the hospital.
However, other Israeli sources presented different accounts.
According to Haaretz, the vehicle belonged to a security protection unit en route to secure Settlement Minister Orit Strock.
Israeli army radio reported that the vehicle was part of the ‘Magen’ unit, responsible for securing senior officials, and that it struck the boy on Highway 60 near the Beit Einun junction, causing his immediate death.
Israeli Strike Kills 3 in Khan Yunis
In Gaza, three Palestinians were killed on Tuesday in an Israeli drone strike targeting a security point in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza, according to QNN.
Local sources said the strike hit a checkpoint in the Al-Amal neighborhood, west of the city, killing Darwish Saeb Darwish Al-Attal (29), Saad Abdullah Hassan Abu Hilal (40), and Majed Alaa Abu Musa.
The attack came hours after Palestinian resistance fighters ambushed a group of militias cooperating with the Israeli occupation in the same area, resulting in deaths and injuries.
Medical sources reported that four Palestinians were brought to hospitals on Tuesday, three from southern Gaza and one from the north.
Israeli forces continue to violate the ceasefire agreement through airstrikes, artillery shelling, and demolition operations, particularly in areas where displaced civilians are concentrated.
According to QNN, Israeli operations also include destruction within the so-called Yellow Line zone, alongside continued restrictions on aid, goods, and movement.
Figures from Gaza’s Health Ministry show that since the ceasefire began on October 10, at least 780 Palestinians have been killed and 2,193 injured.
The total toll since October 7, 2023 has reached approximately 72,556 killed and 172,296 injured.
