Israeli occupation forces continued attacks across southern Lebanon, injuring a Lebanese soldier and targeting water crews while bombarding several towns and villages.

Lebanese Soldier Injured in Israeli Attack

Israeli occupation forces continued their attacks across southern Lebanon, targeting Lebanese army personnel, public-service workers and several villages and towns.

According to Al Mayadeen, a Lebanese army soldier was injured after an Israeli helicopter dropped a sound bomb targeting an army bulldozer in the town of al-Mansouri, in the Tyre district.

The attack came as the Lebanese army attempted to carry out work in the area, with the correspondent reporting that Israeli forces were seeking to obstruct the army’s activities and prevent its entry into the town.

Elsewhere, Israeli occupation forces set fire to several homes in Houla and carried out an explosion in Qounin, in the Bint Jbeil district.

Israeli artillery also targeted Al-Mansouri and Mays al-Jabal, while Wadi Zibqin came under artillery fire at dawn.

Israeli Forces Open Fire on Water Crews

Israeli occupation forces also targeted workers from the South Lebanon Water Establishment while they were carrying out repairs in Aita al-Jabal.

The establishment said the head of the Bint Jbeil Water Department and several workers came under Israeli gunfire while repairing faults in the local water network.

The crews were working to restore water supplies to residents and maintain essential services in southern communities.

The establishment condemned the attack, stressing that targeting public-service workers while carrying out their duties constitutes an attack on civilians and on residents’ right to access water.

Despite the continuing danger, it said its teams would continue working in southern villages and towns to maintain water supplies.

Attacks Continue amid Difficult Rome Talks

The Israeli attacks come as Lebanese and Israeli officials participate in a seventh round of negotiations in Rome over the implementation of the ceasefire agreement.

Al Mayadeen’s correspondent described the latest discussions as the “most difficult round” since the negotiations began.

According to the report, Lebanon has proposed designating either Khiam or Bint Jbeil as a “pilot zone” from which Israeli forces would withdraw.

Sources in the Lebanese presidency, however, reportedly considered it unlikely that Israel would accept another such arrangement.

The Lebanese army has also categorically rejected any mechanism that would allow the Israeli military to verify its activities in southern Lebanon.

The negotiations are proceeding while Israeli occupation forces continue military operations across the south, including artillery shelling, demolitions and attacks affecting Lebanese military personnel and civilian service workers.
