Israeli occupation forces on Thursday killed a 17-year-old Palestinian teenager and injured another as they were leaving school in the Jalazone refugee camp, near Ramallah, the official Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.

Medical sources told WAFA that Israeli soldiers raided the camp and fired live bullets at Palestinian youths who confronted them.

Asid Hamdi Hamidat, 17, was shot in the head and chest while another 14-year-old boy was shot in the thigh.

They were rushed to a hospital in Ramallah where Hamidat was later pronounced dead, according to the Ministry of Health.

The killing of Hamidat has raised the number of those killed by Israel in the West Bank to 313 since the start of this year and 105 since October 7.

Hundreds more were wounded, and nearly 1,500 were arrested in mass arrest campaigns throughout the occupied region.
