Young Palestinian Man Killed during Jewish Settler Attack in Huwwara

Dozens of Israeli Jewish settlers, along with a large number of Israeli soldiers, stormed on Thursday night the town of Huwwara, located near to the occupied West Bank city of Nablus.

A Palestinian youth was shot and killed late Thursday night during an Israeli settler attack on Huwwara, south of Nablus, the official Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.

Dozens of illegal Jewish settlers, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, stormed the town of Huwwara last night.

A Palestinian youth, who was identified as 19-year-old Labeeb Mohammed Dmaidi, was shot in the heart at the hands of an Israeli settler and was critically injured.

Medical sources told WAFA correspondent that Dmaidi was brought to the Rafidia hospital in Nablus in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the heart.

Attempts to save Dmaidi’s life failed and he quickly succumbed to his wounds.

Moreover, sources at the Palestinian Red Crescent said at least 25 people, including four children, suffocated by tear gas fired by Israeli occupation forces during the settler attack on the town.

Dmaidi’s killing brings up the number of Palestinians killed by the Israeli army in less than 24 hours to four.

On Thursday morning, Huthayfah Fares, 27, and Abd al-Rahman Atta, 23, were shot dead in the village of Shufa, southeast of Tulkarm.

Later in the evening, the Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed that a young Palestinian man was shot dead by Israeli occupation forces. The victim was identified as 26-year-old Jamal Mahmoud Majdoub.
