Citing Egyptian security officials on Friday, the Associated Press news agency said that Egypt is reinforcing its forces along the border with the besieged Gaza Strip.

The officials said that Cairo is taking ‘unprecedented measures’ to strengthen the border with Gaza and to prevent any infiltration.

This comes amid calls by Israel for Palestinians to leave Gaza, and by others to open a humanitarian corridor, so that the residents of the Strip cross the border with Egypt.

Israel is not allowing any form of aid to enter Gaza, including medical supplies, doctors, or any kind of assistance.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi said in a speech on Thursday that what is happening in Gaza is a great danger, and that Israel is hoping to “liquidate the (Palestinian) cause”.

  1. So what El Sisi is Doing for the Palestine People He a Tratior against Muslim His Army Should Remove him like they did Anwar Sadat also the Lap Dog so call King of Jordan

  2. Egypt’s economy is extremely fragile and is in a slow rebuild phase. Sadly but realistically to allow refugees in would or could harshly destabilise this fragile economic rebuild and growth. This is paramount for the people of Egypt living well below the acceptable standard of living; and their schools, hospitals and other vital infrastructure.
