Israeli bombardment of Gaza intensified in the early morning hours of Sunday, following a bloody night that killed over 50 Palestinians and wounded hundreds.

Israel also bombed the Jenin refugee camp in the northern West Bank, killing three Palestinians and wounding five. Also in the West Bank, Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian homes in Huwwara and other Palestinian towns.

The Israeli army continues to speak of the inevitability of a ground operation in Gaza, while Washington continues to build up support for Tel Aviv, both in the US and around the world.

 Meanwhile, the Palestinian Resistance continues.

WAFA: The death toll of Palestinians killed in Israeli raids on the Gaza Strip on Sunday rose to more than 400, most of them children and women. The airstrikes were concentrated in Jabalia, Beit Lahiya, Nuseirat, Al-Rimal, Al-Shati, Khan Yunis and Rafah.

AL-QASSAM: The Al-Qassam Brigades said that it bombed the Israeli Hatzerim Air Base with a missile attack.

EGYPTIAN ARMY: Egyptian army spokesman Colonel Staff Gharib Abdel Hafez said that one of the Egyptian border watchtowers was accidentally hit by fragments of a shell from an Israeli tank, resulting in minor injuries to some border watchmen.

BLOOMBERG (CITING ISRAELI OFFICIALS): Israel decided to support diplomatic efforts to release the “hostages,” which may delay the ground operation in Gaza.

GAZA HEALTH MINISTRY: Not bringing fuel to hospitals would threaten the lives of 1,100 patients with kidney failure, including 38 children.

PALESTINIAN MINISTRY OF HEALTH: A Palestinian man was killed by Israeli army gunfire near the Al-Arroub camp in Hebron (Al-Khalil). He is the third Palestinians killed in the occupied West Bank on Sunday.

AL-QASSAM BRIGADES: The Al-Qassam Brigades said in a statement that its fighters ambushed an armored Israeli force east of Khan Yunis after it crossed the temporary fence by several meters. According to the statement, the fighters destroyed two bulldozers and a tank, and forced the unit to withdraw, before returning safely to their bases.
